So today I thought I'd do a beauty blog post. Yay!?!
I was washing my face last night and realized how many products it took me to finally get a routine down that actually worked for me. And I really wanted to talk about the products that changed my face completely.
Step 1: Remove all eye makeup with my Sephora eye make up remover.
This stuff is amazing! It removes even the toughest waterproof makeup and doesn't leave behind a greasy residue.
Step 2: Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser + Clarisonic
I know. I don't have blemishes. Ever wonder why? This cleanser helps me PREVENT breakouts. That's the key. Breakouts are difficult to get rid of once they're there. Prevention is key to clear skin. In combination with my Clarisonic Mia, I can't go wrong. I still say that my Clarisonic is the best $100 I ever spent. It has changed my skin completely. I think everyone who has problem skin needs one. And everyone who wants to keep problem skin at bay needs one too.
Step 3: LUSH Tea Tree Water Toner
I have been using this for two years and, to this day, it is the best toner I have ever used. For those who don't know what a toner is or why it's necessary, a toner removes any extra makeup residue or dirt that your cleanser has left behind. And, depending on the toner, it also balances and soothes your skin.
Step 4: Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum
Just one more prevention method that I swear by. It helps clear up current breakouts and prevents new ones. It can also be used as a spot treatment. But I use something else for spot treatment.
Step 5 (optional): Juice Beauty Blemish Be Gone
I use this as a spot treatment. It seriously diminishes the appearance of breakouts over night.
Step 6: Origins Vitazing Moisturizer OR Origins Starting Over Oil-Free Moisturizer
I use the VitaZing in the morning. It has SPF and a slight tint. It's absolutely LOVELY under a powder foundation. I use the Starting Over at night. It's a bit thicker. Which is ESSENTIAL at night and in the winter. This moisturizer is formulated to help with fine lines. Which I don't have a problem with, but starting early prevention never hurt. And my skin GLOWS after I use it.
Step 7 (once a week): LUSH Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask
This is my favorite face mask and the only face mask I've tried that I've seen a noticeable difference in my skin the next day. It helps clear and even skin tone and keep breakouts at bay.
All these products work together to keep my skin in the condition I like it.
These products won't work for everyone. I think if someone is trying to find a skincare routine that works a little better than what they're using, they should first decide what they would like to accomplish, skincare wise. And then go from there.
My starting point was ALL NATURAL PRODUCTS. Then I looked at products that prevented and cleared breakouts. I read reviews online and watched before and after videos on youtube. Research is essential to finding a skincare regime that will work.
I think tomorrow I'll do my makeup routine. Just face makeup though since I switch up my eye makeup so much. :)
