scat·ter·brain (sktr-brn)
n.
A person regarded as flighty, thoughtless, or disorganized.
scatter·brained adj.
I do this thing where I zone out and don't pay attention to anyone or anything around me. I'll throw myself so deep into a daydream or memory that I'll, hypothetically speaking, leave the water running in the stock room sink. Twice. Not that that has happened. It certainly wasn't today. >.>
Now this is, in no way, a common occurrence. Actually, in this particular instance, I'm going to blame Derek. He recently moved to Michigan and I miss him. But alas, texting and daydreaming is really all I've got for now. It's making me adorably (and annoyingly) scatterbrained.
Of course, if I tried blaming him for the things my absentmindedness has caused (such as ignoring coffee timers, having bubbles overflow on to my stock room floor, and general spaciness...hypothetically speaking), he'd probably laugh and, in jest, tell me to stop blaming him and take responsibility for my actions.
In this situation, I fear he may be correct. It's not his fault that I think about him so much.
Also, let's just keep this conversation between us. No need for him to be getting a big head or anything. :P
Only 15 more days. ^.^
